Agya Koo's Manager Says Agya Koo Was Correct In Saying He Revived The Ghanaian Movie Industry And Th
Manager of actor Agya Koo, Ernest Kofi Aboagye, has reiterated comments the actor made that he revived the Ghanaian movie industry at a point, and thus owes no one an apology.
Aboagye made the comments in an interview, when he was asked to comment on the backlash Agya Koo has faced for making those comments.According to Aboagye, the actor’s comments were factual, and thus he is baffled anyone can demand an apology for making them.
“We all agree that he revived Ghana movie because days when Nigeria movies took over the Ghanaian market, his movies like Asoreba, Nsem Pii , Old Soldier etc. by Miracle Films that starred him resurrected the image of Ghana movie ”
Aboagye also added that those calling for an apology are misconstruing the actor’s statement to mean something different from what he said.
Agya Koo, in an interview earlier this month, had claimed that the Ghanaian movie industry is falling because he doesn’t act in so many movies these days, noting that his presence had saved the industry once before. Many entertainers took umbrage with that, with veteran actor Bob Smith Jnr calling for him to apologise for his presumptuous comments.
