Brendan Shanahan is a Canadian professional ice hockey player. He was a left winger in the National Hockey League (NHL). Regarded as one of the greatest, he was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2013. He is the president and alternative governor for the Toronto Maple Leafs. He has also acted.
Brendan is the son of Irish parents, Rosaleen and Donal Shanahan. He is married to Catherine, with whom he has three children.
