BTS' "Mic Drop" Remix with Steve Aoki and Desiigner is #1 on iTunes Worldwide Song Chart
BTS is truly taking over the world with the release of their “Mic Drop” remix in collaboration with Steve Aoki and Desiigner!
As previously reported, the remix reached #1 on the U.S. iTunes Chart, making BTS the first K-Pop group to do so. Since then, the remix has landed the #1 spot on the iTunes Worldwide Song Chart, becoming the top song in 60 countries. The news comes about 16 hours since the song’s release on November 24th 6 p.m. KST.
While many K-Pop acts have topped the iTunes Worldwide Albums Chart, BTS is the first to top the iTunes Worldwide Song Chart specifically.
The hip hop track is a remix of BTS’ original “Mic Drop” song, which is from the group’s most recent album, Love Yourself: Her, which topped the charts in 73 countries when it released in September, making it the largest debut for any Korean artist.
As a result of the album’s global success, the group decided to surprise fans with a remix of the fan-favorite “Mic Drop” song. Steve Aoki produced the remix, while Desiigner featured on vocals. What makes the remix especially different from the original is that some of the Korean lyrics have been changed to English lyrics, most notable in the chorus and in BTS member RM’s verse.
While the song has only been out for a day, several radio stations in the United States have already added the remix to their lineups, including KJ103, 103.7 KISS FM, Channel 93.3, and more.

BTS will perform the remix on television for the first time on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Monday, November 27th.
