Comedian Leslie Jones To Exit SNL

NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) — “Saturday Night Live” cast member Leslie Jones is making her exit from the long-running late-night comedy sketch show, Variety reported.

Jones, who joined the cast in 2014, has become one of the more popular players and is known for her frequent appearances on Weekend Update where she weighs in on social and political issues.

Jones, who was 47 when she joined SNL, is the oldest person to join the cast but went on to earn Emmy nominations for her work on the show in both 2017 and 2018.

She recently starred in he controversial reboot of “Ghostbusters” and is lined up for several unannounced movie projects, as well as a forthcoming stand-up comedy special on Netflix.

“SNL” is set to return to the air on September 28th. Hosts announced for the show’s upcoming 45th season include Woody Harrelson, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, David Harbour, and Kristen Stewart as well as SNL cast alum Eddie Murphy.
