Elvis Presley 'sings' with daughter Lisa Marie and their duet is pure gold
This made Lisa Marie's dream come true, for she was able to interpret one of her father's most beloved hits. If you like Elvis, you will love this version of the song that father and daughter performed to perfection.
The new version of Elvis Presley’s “Where No One Stands Alone” was released on August 8 as the first promotional single for the “King of Rock and Roll’s” album of the same name, out on August 10.
For its release, RCA / Legacy Recordings also created a lyric video with archive images of Elvis and new footage featuring his 50-year-old only daughter Lisa Marie recording the song.
The original recording of the traditional Christian hymn in Elvis’s version was first published in 1967 as part of his album “How Great Thou Art.” Read more on our Twitter account @amomama_usa
While Lisa Marie is the most special guest on this record, she is not the only one. The rest of the songs feature different Elvis’s collaborators like Darlene Love, Cissy Houston, Terry Blackwood, Armond Morales, Jim Murray, Donnie Sumner, Bill Baize, Ed Hill, and Larry Strickland, according to Rolling Stone.

The album was released in both digital and physical form (CD and vinyl) and it consists on a compilation of 14 gospel songs from Elvis’s repertoire with new arrangements.
"This was his favorite genre – no question about it. He seemed to be at his most passionate, and at peace while singing gospel,” Lisa Marie wrote in the album’s liner notes, as USA Today reviewed.
“He would truly come alive – whether he was singing just for himself and me at home, or on stage in front of thousands of fans," she added.
In 1997, Lisa Marie also put on a digital combination of their voices during a special event.

A music video of the singer-songwriter and her father performing a duet of "Don’t Cry Daddy" was presented at the tribute concert that marked the 20th anniversary of Elvis's death.
Later, for the 30th anniversary of the legendary singer’s passing, technology let father and daughter join their voices once again for a new version of “In The Ghetto.”
Nevertheless, the experience of recording a song with her father is always very special for Lisa Marie, who was only 9 years old when the star died in 1977.
“It was a very powerful and moving experience to sing with my father. The lyrics speak to me and touch my soul. I’m certain that the lyrics spoke to my father in much the same way.”
Lisa Marie grew up in Memphis with her mother, Priscilla, but has retained the King's passion for making music.
The duet was made public right on time for the 41sth anniversary of the death of the “It’s Now or Never” singer, commemorated on August 16.
Lisa Marie has been married four times, including to the late King of Pop Michael Jackson, and actor Nicolas Cage. She is not the just the only child of Elvis and Priscilla, she is also the sole heir to the king's estate.
From her first marriage, to musician Danny Keough, Lisa Marie has daughter Riley Keough, an actress, and Benjamin Keough.
Almost 20 years after becoming a mother for the first time, Lisa Marie had a pair of twins, daughters Harper and Finley Lockwood with music producer Michael Lockwood, with whom she was married for 10 years.
As People reported, Harper and Finley stayed with their grandmother Priscilla for months following Lisa Marie’s and Michael’s controversial divorce, following allegation’s of Lisa Marie finding indecent material on Michael’s computer.
In November 2017, Lisa Marie made a rare red carpet appearance accompanied with her three daughters at an Elle Women event in Hollywood, California, showing the striking resemblance all of them have with their mother.
