Lawrence Lessig is an American academic, legal scholar, attorney, political activist, and politician. He is the Roy L. Furman Professor of Law at Harvard Law School. He was previously Director of the Edmond J. Safra Center for Ethics at Harvard University, from 2009 to 2015.
He was a candidate for the Democratic Party’s nomination for President of the United States in 2016.
He is married to German-born, Bettina Neuefeind, with whom he has three children.
